According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the employment of health education specialists, public health professionals who number more than 60,000 nationally, is expected to grow 7% from 2022 to 2032.

The BLS projects about 6,600 openings for health education specialists each year through 2032. These openings are likely due to the need to replace workers who switch occupations or retire.
